Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, and how to change your mind. Last updated 4 August 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make a site work. Others help the owner understand how the site is being used.
What we use
We keep this to a minimum. When you first visit, you'll be asked whether you're happy for us to use analytics cookies. Nothing that isn't strictly necessary is set until you say yes, and if you say no, the website works exactly as it would otherwise.
Strictly necessary
| Cookie | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
nuthurst_consent |
Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every page | 6 months |
This one doesn't require consent, because without it we couldn't record your decision.
Analytics — only with your consent
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our website: which pages are read, how long people stay, and whether they're on a phone or a computer. It tells us whether the website is working. It doesn't tell us who you are.
| Cookie | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Distinguishes one visitor from another | 13 months |
_ga_[ID] |
Keeps track of a single visit | 13 months |
Google acts as our data processor for this, and may process the information outside the UK under the safeguards required by UK data protection law. You can read Google's own explanation at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The enquiry form
Our Register page embeds an enquiry form provided by Ovivio. That form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which may set cookies or read device information in order to tell people apart from bots. These are set by Google and Ovivio rather than by us, and only on the Register page.
If you would rather not load it, you can enquire by calling 0161 241 6336 or emailing enquiries@nuthurstdaycare.uk instead — we're just as happy to hear from you that way.
What we don't use
We don't use advertising cookies, we don't track you across other websites, and we don't share analytics information with anyone for marketing.
Our contact page shows a map image rather than an interactive map, specifically so that visiting it doesn't place any third-party cookies on your device. The "get directions" button opens Google Maps in a new tab, at which point Google's own terms apply.
Changing your mind
You can change your cookie choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how other websites work.
